About Me

So here's our story. I met my hubby when I was attending college at Austin Peay in Clarksville, TN. I'm from Nashville, TN so it's only about a 45 minute drive. My parents were thrilled for that especially since I'm the baby. Anyways, he was not going to school there but was living the dream of college parties. We met through a mutual friend. He chased me for 4 months til I finally agreed to go out with him, best decision I ever made. We got engaged in November 2009 & married October 2010. We lived in an apartment built inside a barn, so it wasn't the most ideal living situation. Having no windows, no bathtub, 900 sq ft, & no distance from his family was not so great...you can imagine. We bought our first home in the summer of 2012. We needed to find it, move in & paint quickly because we had a new addition arriving very soon.

In January of 2012 we were surprised with a 2 little pink lines on a test. We were going to be parents. It took us awhile for it to sink in because I didn't show until about 24 weeks. I know I was lucky, don't hate me. We moved into our house & got to decorating her room. It was hard for me not to be more active in the room but I got yelled at by my best friend & hubby when I tried to move anything because I was 7 months pregnant. You should've seen their faces when they caught me on the kitchen counter putting up fall leaves over my cabinets. I felt like I should be in a wheelchair by the end because I was being watched like a hawk :) I couldn't go anywhere alone. I was not allowed...protective husband & friends.

We welcomed our sweet Raleigh Grey on September 25, 2012. I always heard that you will never understand the love of a mother until you become one yourself. I thought that I knew how I would feel...I was so wrong. I felt like the Grinch where my heart felt like it grew 3 sizes that day. It definitely is overwhelming & powerful. Me & my hubby cried when she was laying on my chest, it was such a beautiful moment that I will never forget. She is growing so quickly now & I want to be sure to capture all our precious moments by pictures & posts.
